Player (BACH Fugue)

Content created in BACH Composer is stored in a separate text file. The creator of this content (its owner) can rename the file and upload it to any server, making it available to others. Such content is displayed on the Web in a Player, called "BACH Fugue," located at the following URL.

BACH Player: bach.nau.edu/bach_fugue.html

Upon opening the Player, you'll be asked to enter a URL for content. To see how it works, enter http://bach.nau.edu/Cantrell/Lost.txt If you would like, you can view http://bach.nau.edu/Cantrell/Lost.txt as a text file on the web. In its text mode, the file does nothing. But, when this information is fed to the BACH Player, it produces interactive hypermedia.

Alternatively, the multimedia developer can pass the content parameter to BACH Fugue from an html page. The documentation describes how this can be done, and the demonstration studies in the Showcase are referenced in this manner.

TECHNICAL NOTE: In March 2008 Adobe released Director 11 and Shockwave Player 11.  As of this writing (4/12/08) I'm aware of no upward-compatibility issues with the BACH Player that would prevent you from using Shockwave 11 to render the content on this site.  Here are the instructions if you'd like to try the new player.
