Authoring Tool (BACH Composer)

The BACH authoring tool, also called "BACH Composer," is located at: bach.nau.edu/bach_composer.html. This shockwave movie enables content specialists to integrate the following resources:

SCORE: Find a musical score on the web and do a screen dump of each page. Upload these to your server. Using Bach Composer's score entry tool, point to the URL for each page of your score, then mark the boundary rectangle for each measure.

AUDIO: Find an mp3 on the web. Using Bach Composer's audio entry tool, point to that URL and calibrate it to your score by clicking the mouse.

NARRATIVE: Write commentary, adding hyperlinks to the score, audio, and other pages on the web.

GRAPHICS: Add up to five graphics by pointing to their URL's. Resize and arrange them, with your score and narrative, on the web.

DEVELOPER'S NOTE: In March 2008 Adobe released Director 11 and Shockwave Player 11. With one exception, upward-compatibility issues appear to be minor.  The exception has to do with the location where the "bach.txt" (content) file is written when the program is run in Shockwave 11.  Until I can figure this out developers will need to use Shockwave 10.  When this problem has been solved I'll put a note here.   Thanks for your patience.
